If each one reads the plan, spends a ten-second model call deciding its change and then writes, 74% of those writes will land on a plan that another subagent has changed in the meantime. Database transactions making the same edits, reading and writing within milliseconds, collide less than once in a thousand. Agents turn a rare event into the normal case, and a system that does not check for it loses work without raising a single error.
