Production Prompt Engineering

Production prompt engineering is about repeatability: whether a team can answer, with evidence rather than memory, which prompt version produced a given output, whether that output is machine-valid, how well the prompt actually performs against a labeled test set, and what changed between two versions of a template. This section builds each answer as a small, runnable tool rather than a policy document.
