The US Office of Management and Budget keeps a public table of the federal government's AI. Its 2025 AI use case inventory, compiled from agency submissions due in December 2025 and posted on GitHub, lists 3,611 AI use cases from 41 agencies. Under OMB memorandum M-25-21, 445 of them are classified high-impact, and 227 of those are deployed. For every deployed high-impact use, the agency has to say whether seven minimum practices are in place, from pre-deployment testing to an appeal route for the people affected. Thirty-three of the 227 report all seven in place or, where the memo allows, not applicable. For 101, every one of those fields is blank, and 94 of those 101 come from a single department.
